There is a growing interest in moths. An increasing number of folks are travelling the world to observe them and some tour companies are even organising group tours based on moth trapping and photography. There are innumerable species, some large and spectacular, some very colourful, others rather bland. Most are nocturnal, others not. If you take up moths as a hobby, mothing, you will never run out of subjects to look for and study. This subtly coloured Geometer Moth species was photographed in Hungary.
Before joining any wildlife watching or birding tour, wherever in the world, try to establish if the travel company you are considering booking with operates in an environmentally friendly, responsible manner.
